I grew up spending most of my school holidays at my parents’ farm - seeing and admiring huge pedigree livestock that were left roaming freely across vast ranches, known today as Konza Technopolis. Back then, Konza was just lush savanna spaces. Fast forward, to a career that has taken me abroad, across cities, systems and cultures. Noting why some succeed, while others stall. Africa is young with 60 percent of its people falling under 30 years. However, that's not a problem but leverage. The challenge is doing things same way today, as was done in the past. Smart cities and intentional land use will decide if we become a developed nation. Kenya, with its educated population & global outlook, must build places that attract serious capital, talent, and ideas. Konza is among other locations, where that story begins. Championing its realization while facilitating private land ownership informs the second phase of my life. For positive impact, I encourage those who have capital to look at investing in Konza; while those who have voices, keep shouting to attract friends of Africa. I sell land responsibly; with deep respect for its history, present value, and future potential. And yes, I still remember the cows.
